Kept On Your Computer

The computer you run Eagle on keeps and manages your library. You decide where the files live, and your other devices open that same library instead of copies of it.

  • Starts like any desktop app Install it and go. Working alone needs no setup
  • You pick the drive Keep the library on any disk or folder you choose
  • Not a cloud service Your files never pass through Eagle’s servers
  • No monthly fee Hosting your own library isn’t a subscription

Same Library, Wherever You Are

Your files are on the studio computer and you’re at home. Connect to it and keep working on the same library, with the same folders, tags and edits.

Office PCClient
Studio Wi-Fi
Studio desktopHost

One library, live. Every device works on the library that lives on the host. A tag added at home shows up in the studio right away.

Not copies, not sync. Other devices don’t keep their own offline copy, so the host computer needs to be on and reachable.

Access

One Workspace, Access By Library

A workspace holds your accounts, settings and libraries. Each library decides on its own who can edit it, who can only look, and who can’t see it at all.

Workspace · Studio

InternalContracts and drafts

People join the workspace once, then get access library by library. Libraries they can’t open stay invisible to them.

  • InternalNo access

Alex can work on project references and use the brand files, but never sees internal documents.

Audit log

Every Change Has A Name

The tags on 140 posters changed overnight. Was it Alex tidying up, a script, or an agent finishing a task? Eagle 5 records who did it, when, on which files, and what exactly changed.

  • Who, and what kind People, scripts with API tokens and agents each have their own name
  • Which files Batch changes show every item they touched

Same Rules For Everyone

Letting an agent into your library works like inviting a person. You decide what it can reach, and everything it does shows up under its own name.

  1. 01 Create a token

Give the agent its own identity, separate from yours.

  2. 02 Scope it

Pick which libraries it can open, and whether it can edit or only view.

  3. 03 See its work

Every change lands in the audit log, labeled as the agent.

Common Questions

Does the host computer need to stay on?

Yes, whenever someone else wants to reach the library. Other devices connect to it rather than keeping their own copy. Working on the host itself is the same as any desktop app.

How do I connect from outside my network?

Give the host a public IP, or use a tunnel such as Cloudflare Tunnel. It’s a one-time setup, and our guide walks you through it.

Which apps can connect today?

Eagle for macOS and Windows, plus agents through Eagle MCP and the CLI. iPad and browser access are planned on the same foundation.

How do I add people?

Invite them to your workspace, then choose which libraries they can edit or view. Libraries you don’t share stay invisible to them.

Does self-hosting cost extra?

No. Hosting your own library has no monthly fee, and your files never pass through Eagle’s servers.

Is there a limit on members? To confirm

Each license includes a set number of members, and you can add more as your team grows.

What about NAS or Docker?

The new foundation makes them possible, but they won’t be part of the first release.
